Volunteer
With no paid staff, the Friends only exists because of the dedicated efforts of our volunteers. Donate your time and talents and join a great group of people who are enthusiastic about books, libraries, reading, and literacy.
Volunteer forms are available at check-out desk of FriendShop or you can print this Adobe PDF volunteer form and drop it off at the FriendShop or mail it to the address on the form.
There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities:

- Restock FriendShop Too!: The shelves at FriendShop Too! inside Bernalillo’s Martha Liebert Public Library are refilled about twice a week. If you have an hour or two each week, fill out the volunteer form.
- Price and sort: Mondays from 9 am to about 11 am or from 1 pm to about 3 pm the books, magazines, jigsaw puzzles and media that were donated during the previous week are sorted and priced at the FriendShop. If you would like to get involved, fill out the volunteer form.
- If you have special skills in writing newsletters, accounting using QuickBooks or website programming using HTML, please note them on the volunteer form.
The forms are in PDF format. Most computers and smart phones come with PDF viewing software already installed. If you don't have viewing software, Adobe's Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free from the Adobe website.
RSVP: Friends who are 55 or older may be eligible to participate in the Sandoval County Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Volunteers accepted into the County-sponsored program receive some compensation for mileage to and from the shops.
